Franschhoek Literary Festival 2027

The Franschhoek Literary Festival 2027 will take place from Friday 14 to Sunday 16 May 2027. The Franschhoek Literary Festival (FLF) takes place in the beautiful valley of Franschhoek, South Africa, not far from Cape Town and the many stunning attractions of the Western Cape and Cape Winelands region. The FLF runs annually on the third weekend in May, starting on Friday and ending on Sunday. The valley buzzes with approximately 4,000 visiting readers over the course of the weekend. The FLF provides a platform for open and progressive discourse, with participation from renowned local and international authors and thought leaders. Informal discussions are the hallmark of the festival, featuring spirited debates on a variety of topical issues, along with lighter, inspirational, and fun sessions guaranteed to stimulate the senses.
