About Org de Rac Organic Wine

Org de Rac is a pioneering 100% certified organic wine estate on the northern edge of the Swartland near Piketberg, about 130 km north of Cape Town. Founded in 2000 by Nico Bacon, with first vines planted in 2002 and inaugural wines released in 2005, the estate is one of only around 18 South African producers certified for wines made from organically farmed grapes. Its south-facing vineyards on the slopes near the Piketberg mountains are cooled by Atlantic breezes, helping produce distinctive organic whites, reds, Méthode Cap Classique and port-style wines. Visitors can enjoy organic wine tastings, food platters, farm views and pairings such as white wine with nougat.
