About J.C. Le Roux
The House of J.C. Le Roux is South Africa's original sparkling wine house. Established in 1982 in Stellenbosch's cool Devon Valley — on a winemaking heritage tracing back to French Huguenot Jean le Roux in 1704 — it was the country's first cellar devoted entirely to the craft of bubbles. Specialising in Methode Cap Classique and sparkling wines made predominantly from Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, the house is best known for its flagship vintage cuvee Scintilla and its Selection Vivante range. Visitors can enjoy guided sparkling tastings, signature pairings (including nougat and chocolate), self-guided cellar tours, and a restaurant with sweeping vineyard views.
